Located in the heart of historic Gettysburg, this hotel dates back to 1797 and is rumored to be haunted by a ghost named Rachel, among other spirits. Rachel is believed to be the ghost of a Civil War nurse who seems to be in search of soldiers to help. Witnesses say she has opened drawers and removed clothing from them. A wounded soldier and a ghostly woman who has been spotted dancing in the ballroom are other ghosts known to reside here.
