Mishler Theatre
1212 Twelfth Avenue
Altoona, PA 16601
Altoona, PA 16601
This historic theater opened in 1906. It was designed for Isaac Charles (Doc) Mishler who owned and managed the Eleventh Avenue Opera House. The theater had gone through a disasterous fire, but was rebuilt, and continued to flourish until the 1920's. The building continues to remain in operation today, but it is home to several ghost, including that of Mr. Mishler, a howling dog, and a female spirit who is said to like to play pranks in the restroom.
