This concrete arch bridge also known as the Eighth Street Bridge was built in 1913. It runs over the Little Lehigh Creek and was known as the world's longest and highest concrete bridge at the time. In the course of its existence, there have been as many as 80 suicides committed on it over the course of a hundred years - many of which are well-documented. There are claims by people that they've seen ghosts on the bridge.

I was crossing this bridge one foggy rainy night with my fiance. It was after.the dance and very late at night. Suddenly thought the fog I saw a women in a white dress standing at the end of the bridge, she was crying. We turned the car around and she saw as gone. Called police and they could find no evidence of a suicide. Later found out that her description match that of.a.w9men who jumped 40 years prior to that night. And this wasn't the first sighting of this woman who apparently killed herself due to being left at the altar by her fiance who was killed in a car accident on the way to their wedding. Very disturbing and I've had nightmares on that date ever since.
