Elysburg Haunted House Reviews

Contrary to the website stating that it only gets 49 likes on fb & the video for the house, is 🫤, it is a fun & worth while visit! Expands every year & good "scenery". There's a good reason it's been going for 50 years. Def deserves more than 49 likes & the video should be gone over. I've been to Pennhurst, I paid $50 to see Pennhurst, Elysburg HH is just as good for $20. The clown scene this year is good, but I always like the pine tree scene and the forest/snake scene, but each scene is interesting! Also want to add, the scene (area) before the Jaws scene, should have more done with it, & there should be a good NUN scene. Do not let my opinion & criticism and the 49 likes be your determining factor! Go for yourself, you wont be disappointed💯!!

it was a terrifying experience, lines were very long but kept distracted by the scare actors with chainsaws. My kids did not enjoy it but i sure did. It was an amazing how they had food and bathrooms there. Very scary and fun i definitely recommend this haunted house!!

My boyfriend and I have been to haunts all over NY, NY, and PA and we always feel like we overpay and don't have that much fun. Friends of ours told us about this and invited us here and we had so much fun!! The line moves fast and there's food trucks and actors to scare you while you wait!! The haunt is about a half hour long and there are so many actors the whole time who do an amazing job, and it was only $20!!!!

Wow...superb haunt! We screamed, yelled, shouted, jumped and ran so many times. The walk-through the woods was a pleasant experience as we were chased by chainsaw guy and other actors. Loved the special effects, artifacts, props, colors, layout design and intermittent loud noises. It was a package of entertainment and horror together. Staffs were very nice and helpful in answering any queries, we had at any moment. Plus, there was ample space available for parking. Highly recommended!

A perfect blend of indoor and outdoor haunted acts!! Got there with a bunch of friends we all had a blast! Spent around an hour in the queue but we never got bored as there were entertainers prowling around the line. It was really funny to see some of the people jumping and screaming. Once we got into the house, the maze was very easy to follow but the actors were coming out from all unexpected corners. This was like a bizarre walk-through with steep slopes and animatronics putted very well together. Staffs were super cool. Last, but not the least the exit from the house led to the woods and it was damn frightening as compared to the house. We all got spooked here and the chainsaw guy made us run for a while. Definitely worth a visit!

Definitely not a place for faint hearts people. High quality haunts at a price of $10. I along with my boyfriend visited this place last night and we had a great time. The place was packed with people and environment was super spooky. Thanks, to all entertainers as they were prowling so good that we forget the boar of standing in the queue. After an hour, we got into the house and it was really scary to encounter actors draped in the costumes of monsters, zombies and scary creatures. My boyfriend is very sensitive to scares and was running like a horse and actors were following him. Will be there for sure next year!

The Elysburg Haunted House is located on Rt 487 between Knoebels and the Sheetz in Elysburg making it easy to find. Since starting in 1976 as a simple fundraiser for local volunteer fire departments it evolved into much more then anyone would realize. Many changes have been made to the wooded trails coming and leaving haunted house through the years. Every year the dedicated volunteer staff put many hours into this central Pennsylvania haunt still benefiting the same fire companies and even more thought the years. Your adventure in darkness will last between 25 and 40 minutes (depending on crowds) making it one of the longest lowest priced single haunted attractions in the state. Fridays are generally less crowded then Saturdays. Arrive early since wait times have been know to reach 2+ hours some nights. Still running after 40 years must mean this place is doing something right.
