The First Bank of the United States in Philadelphia dates back to 1791 when it was established by the first U.S. treasurer, Alexander Hamilton. When Hamilton died during a duel, he left behind his wife and children, and a whole lot of debt. His spirit is said to live on at the bank and when it first reopened, the new owner even had a priest bless the building. Even after the blessing though, Hamilton's spirit is said to still linger.
