This inn is housed inside of a building that has been around since the days of the Revolutinary War. Many believe the grounds are haunted by soldiers who died in battle. Once owned by loyalists during the War, at least one colonial was plotted and tortured here in order to extract information.

Stemie's Place was once called the Black Horse Inn and it dates back to 1773. Stories say a mobster was shot in the hall near the bathrooms in the early 1920's and that after a fall down the stairs, he hit his head and died at the bottom. His spirit is said to linger the establishment to this day.
